HOW DO I....
Order Repeat Prescriptions?

If you are on long-term medication, this will be entered onto the computer and you will receive a computer slip with a list of the relevant drugs. The slip can be handed into the surgery or posted enclosing a stamped addressed envelope.

Please note, two clear working days' notice is required for a repeat prescription. It is your own responsibility to ensure you have adequate stocks of medications. Receptionists are not authorised to vary this procedure.

Repeat prescriptions cannot be taken over the telephone in case of error. It would be helpful if patients ordered all their medication at the same time.

You can also fax your requests to 01827 713666 or email them to:
repeatprescriptions@gp-M84019.nhs.uk

If you are a dispensing patient, ie you collect your medication from the
surgery, then please hand in your repeat prescription slip to the dispensary and not the reception. If you are unsure as to whether you can get your medication from the surgery, please ask either at reception or the dispensary and we will be happy to help.

Dispensary

Our dispensary opened in 1994 to provide a service for patients who live one mile or more from a chemist. The dispensary is open during normal office hours and a dispensing technician will help you with your prescription. Kylie, Julie or Mary Ann will be happy to help with any queries you may have.

Our dispensary offers a delivery service. This is for patients who receive their MEDICATION from the surgery. This is a free service provided by the practice. The service can be used as a one off, for example after an operation if you are unable to drive or regularly if you fit the criteria laid down by the partners. If you think you may find this service useful please ask to speak to Kylie or Julie, who will be pleased to provide you with more information.
