We at the Atherstone Surgery are excited to welcome Aliyah Sidat to our team as our new Clinical Pharmacist. Aliyah has recently joined our additional service roles and is already accepting appointments, which we are delighted to be able to offer our patients. Please continue reading to learn more about our new team member.
Aliyah Sidat
Aliyah joined us in November 2025 as a Clinical Pharmacist. She has been working as a Community Pharmacist for five years prior to joining our team.
Her journey in pharmacy began with earning a Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) degree from the University of Huddersfield, where she graduated in 2019 with Upper Second-Class Honours (2:1). Following this, she completed her postgraduate training year at a well-known high street pharmacy. She continued working there as a Community Pharmacist for an additional two years, leaving the role in October 2022.
Following this, she transitioned to locum work, gaining experience across various pharmacy settings and organisations. She worked as a Locum Pharmacist until October 2025, which allowed her to broaden her clinical exposure, adapt to different working environments, and further develop her professional confidence.
The most significant change in her current role is the shift to remote work, whereas she was predominantly patient-facing before. This new position involves structured and in-depth clinical work, enabling her to focus on medication optimisation and patient-centred decision-making without the pressures of a busy dispensing environment.
Aliyah is highly motivated by her desire to help patients achieve the best possible outcomes from their treatments and to support them in improving their quality of life. Looking ahead, she hopes to complete her Independent Prescribing qualification to enhance her clinical contributions further within this role.
More information on what a Clinical Pharmacist does can be found below.
Aliyah is a remote worker, but if you are interested in having a telephone appointment with her, please speak with your reception team, and they will be able to book you an appointment.
Welcome to the Atherstone Surgery, Aliyah!
