What can online services do for me?
GP online services allow you to access a range of services via your computer or mobile device. Once you have signed up to the service, you will be able to use these resources.
Online services allow you to:
- Renew or order repeat prescriptions online
- View parts of your GP health record, including information about medication, allergies, vaccinations, previous illnesses and test results
- Access hospital referral information and waiting times
- see communications between your GP surgery and other services, such as hospitals
- Manage health services for someone else. If you are a carer or parent, you can request Proxy access from your surgery. You can find out more about this HERE.
The service is free and available 24 hours a day, it’s especially useful when the practice is closed or telephone lines are busy. Everyone who is registered with a GP can have access to their practice’s online services. It is quick and easy to use, anywhere and at any time. It is secure and only available to patients who signed up for it and received their login details.
Through online services, we aim to help patients achieve a better level of care and convenient access to medical services.
How do i get online services?
From the 1st of November 2023 all patients will automatically be granted access to their medical records via the NHS app. However, access will only be granted to anything that has been added from this date.
How to register for Online Services
- If you wish to have access to content prior to this date, you will need to fill out one of our Advanced Online Services Request Forms, which you can download and print out here (DOCX, 25KB) or ask for from one of our reception staff.
- Once you have filled this in, please return to the surgery in person so we can validate your identity along with two forms of ID, one of which should have a photo (such as a UK passport or driving licence) and the other should have your address (such as a council tax bill).
- Once a doctor has authorised your request, it will be processed within 31 days.
Proxy Access - Managing health services for someone else.
If you are a carer or parent, you can request Proxy access from your surgery. You can find out more about this HERE.
